Bright College Day

Bright College Day was a one-day program organized in conjunction with the Association of Yale Alumni’s annual day of service in 2015.  Held in Hong Kong at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, twenty elementary school students from the Hope Worldwide Center in Shek Kip Mei had their first exposure to what college life is like.  Participants visited the university’s main library where they had a tour from the director, Louise Jones.  They divided into small groups for “college classes” in English and in history (taught in English and Cantonese), followed by lunch in the cafeteria.  Anson Ma, a student at Morningside College, showed the participants a real college dorm, and students ended their day at the university’s museum of climate change.  Read more about the 2015 Bright College Day here:
